Highly anxious, feral rescue

Kitsu

“When we adopted Kitsu, she was so anxious and shutdown. She didn’t leave her crate or look at us. After several months, and pharmacological intervention, her personality began to emerge. We contacted a trainer to help with leash work, so we could begin safely walking her. After meeting Kitsu, the trainer said she could not work with such an anxious dog and suggested we talk to our vet about additional meds. Our vet suggested we reach out to Great Companion Training Session.

After one session, we had a concrete list of training tips to build her confidence. Her behavior is now controlled enough that I can walk both of our dogs together. When this once seemed like an unattainable goal. Kitsu still has a way to go towards that fully confident, happy future I saw for her at the shelter. But with Steve Porter’s help, and a whole lot of patience, we are hopeful she will get there.”
